Housing

"Ciudad de los Niños" is organized into 4 areas:

  • Living modules or pavilions
  • Educational Center
  • Service Area
  • Administration Area

The Pavilions are the houses in which the children live. The children are organized according to their grade in school and age. Each pavilion is known as a “Family”. Each family has its own dormitory, study room, toilets, and recreational playground.

Of the nine current families, seven were recently built with the support of benefactors. The rest of the pavilions are more than 40 years old. Our goal is to renovate all pavilions.

Each year, we need to replace the following items:

  • Water filters.
  • Mattress (single).
  • Pillows.
  • Personal hygiene: bath towels, shampoo, hand soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper .
  • Cleaning supplies: bleach, disinfectant, wax, garbage bags of 75 lt., laundry soap, detergent, brooms made of straw and brooms made of plastic, multi-purpose cleaner.
