Academics

Our school, "Institución Educativa nº 6042 - Padre Iluminato", offers an education from kindergarten and primary through to secondary. The school provides an education to approximately 1000 students including those who live at “Ciudad de los Niños” and other young boys and girls from the outside community.

At the beginning of each school year, we require supplies and resources. These include: notebooks, paper, books, school uniforms, pens, backpacks, pencil cases, crayons, uniforms, pencils, white A4 sheet, etc.

Technical Training

The boys, with the guidance of our experts, learn skills through our ¨technical workshops¨. The pupils have opportunities to learn new skills from a range of different trades such as farming, bakery, carpentry, shoe production and repair, hairdressing, tailor shop, auto mechanics, and metal shop. Additionally, the maintenance of our Home thusly allows them to learn skills that will be also useful in their future (electrical training, computers, plumbing etc).

These learning opportunities and the other valuable life skills, such as communication, all of which are taught in our workshops, are geared to help our pupils find employment in the world of work.
